FuturFund 2017 Annual Conference
May 13, 2017| Free
Becoming rich doesn’t mean you have to score the lottery or work 24 hours a day.
Becoming rich means getting started early by taking control of your finances and making your money grow.
On May 13th, come learn about how your interests and future careers go hand and in hand with financial literacy at FuturFund’s annual Textbook to Chequebook Conference. In the morning, learn financial literacy basics, and connect with industry professionals who are living your dream job in business, science, engineering, law and arts during our tight-knit workshops. They’ll be sharing their journey with #finlit throughout their career. In the afternoon, put your financial literacy knowledge to work through a fast-paced, team-decision making challenge, with over $1,000 in cash to be won!
Representatives are coming from Sun Life Global Investments, Ivey Business School, Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, Enron, Media Planet, Borrowell, Wealthsimple, and more. Be the first to know about our speaker lineup and competition details on our Facebook and website!
Last year’s FuturFund conference welcomed 150 high school students from 40 high schools and 8 school boards. With keynote speeches from Jane Rooney, the Financial Literacy Leader of Canada, Rick Headrick, the President of Sun Life Global Investments, and Gary Rabbior, the CEO of the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education, our delegates had a blast learning about financial literacy. Free lunch and cash prizes in the afternoon completed an awesome day.
