The FinLit Fund provides microgrants to youth-run clubs, organizations, and non-profits to advance financial literacy education in their respective communities. Grants will range from $100 to $250 in monetary value and resources. FuturFund will help guide the organization’s strategic direction and work in close partnership with the leadership team to provide critical resources along the way.

Not only will partner organizations gain access to a plethora of valuable resources, you’ll become a member of the vast FuturFund network. FuturFund has proudly instilled financial literacy within high school and university students and their communities for the past 6 years. Whether you’re starting a new financial literacy club or have a well-established club already in operation, we’re here to help!

MAKE AN IMPACT WITH THE FUTURFUND FINLIT FUND.

In addition to the monetary funding, FuturFund will provide/offer the following:

  • Monthly check-ins with the team to guide strategic direction and offer mentorship

  • Creation of resources on a case-by-case basis (i.e. promotional posts, speakers, technology support, etc.)

  • Promoting the organization’s events/initiatives on FuturFund’s social media platforms (collective reach of 1000+ students)

  • Featuring the organization on the FuturFund website and introducing the organization to the broader FuturFund Community

First Round Applications are due December 5, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST.

Application Process and Project Timeline: 

The FinLit Fund is open to Canadian groups, of the following categories: 

    • a school-affiliated club
    • a youth-run organization*
    • a youth-run non profit*
    • or any other entity that does not seek to generate profit and serves the local in community

The leadership team must consist of a diverse selection of youth (15 – 24 years of age). Applications will be considered on a rolling basis with the last day to apply being December 5 (11:59 p.m. EST).
